An atypical collection for an atypical person. My interests are widely spread, but paint what I think is a beautiful image.
Philosophy is the most important of the three. It is my arguably my defining trait; the thing that most people know about me. Surprisingly, despite its prominence in my identity, it is a rather new development in my life. Before my undergraduate studies, philosophy only had one place in my life by supporting my inquisitive and curious personality. However, once I finally got to learn more about it, I truly fell in love. I had found my passion and at a perfect time in my life to find it. Presently I find myself researching philosophers like John Dewey and Maria Montessori, using their ideas to criticize oppression, and sharing my criticisms in academic and professional settings. I focus on applied philosophy and write about things that affect real people.
In addition to my work as a philosopher, I have also found a strong interest in graphic design. I have always been an artistic person but that was always a hobby or side project. After taking a few courses I found I really enjoy graphic design and have a few pieces that I use whenever I am describing my efforts. Check them out on my portfolio (in progress). This work comes second in my life, but it gives me problems to solve and keeps my mind sharp. I am always improving my artistic personality and using that to improve the other aspects of my life. Presently, I am using my skills to improve the visibility of campus organizations. Additionally, I am working on a logo design for a hypothetical cafe as a way to expand my skills: look out for it in my portfolio.
Finally, Tea (and sometimes coffee) are important parts of my life. I grew up drinking hot tea (Celestial and Twinning's in the beginning) and it slowly became a part of my everyday routine. Now, regardless of the day, I have tea in my hand or on my desk.
